Chapter 1: The First SparkOur story began not in a fairytale, but in a very modern way—on an online dating site in July 2020.Jeri was attracted to Kenny's handsome smile and his quick sense of humor. She soon fell deeply in love with his caring nature and protective spirit. Meanwhile, Kenny was drawn in by Jeri's vibrant style, infectious smile, and chocolate complexion. He fell in love with her nurturing spirit, playful sarcasm, and her great cooking. Our connection was immediate, the kind of soul-deep chemistry you hear in the best 90s R&amp;B love songs. We connected over a shared love of music, comedy, sports, traveling, and food. Our first conversation stretched into many hours, and we realized right away that this was different. Chapter 2: The Adventure BeganFrom that moment on, we built a strong friendship that transitioned into a relationship on a foundation of faith, communication, and vulnerability. Over the next four years, we collected countless memories and strengthened our bond: The Foundation: We deepened our connection through increased prayer and strong communication; making our relationship resilient. The Resilience: Throughout the course of our relationship, we endured challenges that tested our connection, but our trust in one another and faith in God solidified the strength of our bond. The Harmony: Our love story has the vibe of a timeless 90s R&amp;B track—smooth, soulful, and deeply committed. It's a harmonious song that sings on, driven by the depth of our connection. Like the best ballads of that era, our journey features raw vulnerability, fierce devotion, and the promise of forever. It was somewhere between enduring the tough challenges and enjoying the blissful moments of shared passion that we knew we had found our forever person. Chapter 3: The Promise On September 8, 2025(Jeri's birthday), Kenny got down on one knee and proposed. We both felt pure joy. We are excited to move into this next step in our beautiful, love story. It was a perfectly intimate and faith-filled moment, and of course, the answer was a resounding "Yes!" Now, as we prepare to say "I do" on Monday, August 3, 2026, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the journey we've shared and incredibly excited for the future we are building. We found our true love. Thank you for being a part of our next big chapter. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Our wedding will take place at Dreams Onyx All Inclusive resort. Dreams is attached to Breathless All Inclusive, which is adult only. We have blocked off several rooms under a special group rate at both resorts. All room reservations must be made with Shawana Spotwood so that all guests attending the wedding can be accommodated. Semi-Formal Caribbean Chic Think lightweight semi-formal with bright, lively Caribbean colors. For men: linen or lightweight suit or dress slacks with a button-down shirt—ties optional; loafers or dress sandals acceptable. For women: sundress, midi or maxi in tropical prints or solid teal/blue tones, or a dressy jumpsuit; wedges, block heels, or dressy sandals recommended. Fabrics should be breathable (linen, cotton, silk blends) to stay comfortable in the summer heat. Friday, July 31, 2026 Welcome Party

The wedding weekend kicks off Friday night with our welcome party: Theme — Lights, Camera, Jackson! Think shorts, tees, and relaxed, camera-ready vibes. Laugh, mingle, grab your welcome bag, and give Jeri &amp; Kenny a proper hello. Afterwards, join an optional group dinner for round two of the festivities.

Saturday, August 1, 2026 Pearls and the Sea 

Rehearsal dinner in the garden, 6–8 PM, featuring live music. Theme: Pearls and the Sea — feel free to wear linen suits or sleek dresses; pearls are welcomed, but not required.

Sunday, August 2, 2026 

Poolside, spa-level relaxation—think sun hats, sandals, and breezy cover-ups as you unwind before the big day. Both Dreams Onyx and Breathless resorts have several pools to enjoy. Feel free to meet up with the couple, or explore the resort and town at your leisure.

Monday, August 3, 2026  It's the Big Day!! 

The ceremony will be held at the Fountain in the center of Dreams Onyx Punta Cana. Guests staying at Breathless, please allow extra travel time and be seated by 4:45 PM; the ceremony starts promptly at 5:00 PM. Dress is semi-formal, Caribbean chic. Bring your dancing shoes—the celebration begins as soon as Jeri &amp; Kenny say “I do.”
